Students can choose the genre, environment and which technical or creative aspects are stressed. I’ve also developed a curriculum for basic and intermediate classes, for those that want more of a general approach on these levels, which deals with a variety of the above subjects. Of course, individual lessons are more appropriate for students who are interested in specific areas.

If a student would like to learn about and get experience with a particular piece of equipment, rental equipment can be arranged for a fee. Lessons are available at my studio in Williamsburg (Bedford Ave stop) or on location of the student’s choice. Lessons given in studio will have access to a large studio space with a skylight.

For students interested in darkroom work, access to a darkroom is required or can be arranged for an additional fee.

You can save money by paying for your classes in blocks of three, or by finding friends to take lessons with you.
